My Disney Experience
Website & App
Once you’ve booked your holiday, create a My Disney Experience Account online, and also set this up on the My Disney Experience App. You can then link your holiday booking to your account. Once set up, you can plan an manage all your holiday plans – the app in particular is handy for doing this on-the-go when you’re on holiday.
Even if you are staying outside Walt Disney World, ticket packages can be added to your account to allow you to access FastPass+ features
Restaurants
Book your restaurants through My Disney Experience from 180 days in advance of your holiday and they’ll all be linked to your account. The reservations will show in your itinerary and you’ll receive email reminders about any bookings
FastPass+
Book your FastPass+ selections through the website and once you’re in the parks, you can update and amend FastPass+ selections on the go, giving you extra flexibility if needed.
Schedules
You can use My Disney Experience to access Park Hours, Extra Magic Hours, Show Times, Character greeting spots and (most importantly!) Attraction Queue Times.
FastPass+
Updated System
An upgrade to the original FastPass system, FastPass+ allows you to reserve up to 3 selected attractions in any one park in advance. This makes it easier to plan and organise your holiday whilst missing out on big queues for the most popular attractions
Book in Advance
Walt Disney World Resort Guests can begin reserving FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance using My Disney Experience.
Non-Disney Guests with a valid ticket package can reserve their FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance
Make Extra Selections
Once you have used your 3 selections for that day, Walt Disney World Resort Guests can book a 4th selection at a Fastpass+ Kiosk, which can be at a different park from your original 3 selections (provided you have a ticket which allows park-hopping and you use the Fastpass+ kiosk in the park where your desired experience is). Once you have used a 4th selection, you can return to the kiosk for a 5th, and so on.
MagicBands/Cards
Connect to the Magic
Use your MagicBand as an all-in-one device to access all reservations and selections you have made. Your MagicBand is your park ticket, and also holds all Dining and FastPass+ reservations, as well as being used to collect all PhotoPass photos for Memory Maker
Walt Disney World Resort Guests
Walt Disney World Resort Guests have the added benefit of using their MagicBand to access their room, their Dining Plan entitlements (if applicable) and can use them to pay for food and merchandise throughout Walt Disney World (a relevant card must be linked to the account).
Resort Guests will receive a complimentary MagicBand which they can customise through My Disney Experience
Non-Resort Guests
Guests not staying in a Walt Disney world Resort Hotel but with a valid Theme Park admission Ticket will be given a card to use instead of a MagicBand. However, once in Walt Disney World, a MagicBand can be purchased and any relevant ticket packages and FastPass+ selections can be loaded onto it
