The weird and wonderful world of Walt Disney World Resort fans is just that; weird and wonderful. There are so many of us who quite simply won’t holiday any other way as no other experience can match what’s on offer at Walt Disney World. When you begin your research into your very own Walt Disney World Holiday, you’ll come online and find plenty of us on different websites, forums and blogs, all ready to impart our wisdom and knowledge for your benefit.
The wonderful thing about all these people is how friendly we all are. We’re happy to pass on any knowledge or experience we may have in order to help you enjoy Walt Disney World as much as we do. We’ll do our best to answer any questions you may have, explain any complicated concepts or terminology surrounding your booking, and recommend just about anything that we’ve had a good experience of that we think you’ll enjoy as well. It’s online you’ll meet a welcoming Disney community armed and ready with Theme Park news and updates and handy hints and tips so you’ll always be prepared for your holiday with the information you need.
However, with all things wonderful, comes the weird. There are so many different tactics when planning and experiencing a Walt Disney World holiday, that quite often certain topics can become controversial and sometimes quite judgemental. You’ll see this in many different areas, like whether or not to stay in Disney, eating in Disney Vs eating off-property, the value of the Dining Plan or Fastpass+ reservations and what age is a good time to first take your kids. You’ll find every forum, blog and website will offer sometimes differing information on these areas, all dependant on personal experiences or opinions.
The brilliant thing about all these different experiences and opinions is that it gives you a wealth of knowledge and information to draw upon when working out your own ideas on these areas. It may help you see things in a different light, or bring up points for consideration you may not have thought of; and this will all aid you in getting the most out of your holiday. Unfortunately, sometimes the judgement that can come with these opinions can lead you to feel pressured into ‘doing’ Disney a certain or perceived ‘accepted’ way.
This is where we are trying to be different
There is a particular way we plan, organise and execute our holiday (sounds a bit military doesn’t it?!). How we ‘do’ Disney is based on our previous holidays and experiences we have gained from both trial and error and also knowledge from others, be it sites online or friends. We want to use the information we have to help you better understand what to expect from your own Walt Disney World holiday, and to try and ensure you get the most enjoyment out of it.
What we are trying to leave behind us is the judgement. The way we do our holidays may not work for everyone, and that’s ok. Every family or travel party is different; there will be different needs, budgets, energy requirements and tastes. What we want you to know is that There is no right or wrong way of doing Disney; the only right way to do Disney is the way which works best for you. We hope you take the advice and opinions we put on here and use them, along with the advice and opinions of others, to help you figure out your own Walt Disney World path, without feeling the pressure of judgement because your path may differ slightly from ours.
We hope that along the way anyone who has been to Disney before and may disagree with how we do it will remain open enough to use our information as points of consideration, with the prospect of enhancing their Disney experiences. And we too, hope to remain open to any thoughts, opinions or advice anyone is willing to share with us, with the aspiration of making our future Walt Disney World holidays more enjoyable for us.
